Conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is an inflammation of the eye’s outer layer that causes redness, itchiness, and discharge. It can be caused by a viral or bacterial infection, allergies, or other irritants, and symptoms often include a gritty feeling, watery eyes, and crusting of the eyelids. While it typically resolves on its own within a couple of weeks, good hygiene, like frequent hand washing, is key to preventing its spread.
